If the first paragraph makes virtually no sense to you, welcome to the new Greek (or Web 2.0 as it is called nowadays). In what can only be described as a vocabulary orgy, Web 2.0 provides a baffling array of geeky names, mostly representing answers in search of questions. Yes, it is overwhelming. That is why the referenced article, "The Terrible Twos," is a short and valuable read.

How much is really new? Since technologies are designed to serve people, and people never really change, perhaps there is nothing new under the sun. When Frank Sinatra sang his famous “Lady is a Tramp” it underwent several “revisions” over time, mostly to the refrain. Lady is a Tramp 1.0: … she loves the free fresh wind in her hair…; Lady is a Tramp 2.0: … she loves the sweet warm cuckoo super wind in her hair. Well, I’m not sure how sweet, warm, cuckoo, or super Web 2.0 will become, but I have a feeling that besides a few new words, it will work a lot like Web 1.0.
